# Rules Summary
At the start of the game, you must create a character by choosing a race and a purpose (goal); these purposes are similar to the missions assigned in the game Risk.
Each player has their own territory, and in the center of the board is a shared territory. On their turn, a player can perform 3 actions: build on their territory, move, and fight.
Players have considerable freedom in how they interact with one another; they can help each other, attack each other, or loot each other. Monsters swarm the map, and six factions are scattered across it to give players quests that will reward them with loot (equipment, currency, reputation).
Each player’s objective is hidden from the others. To win the game, you must complete your objective and then decide whether to reveal it—unless you want to keep the fun going.
This experience allowed me to hone my game design skills. The various tests taught me a lot about player types and how they adapt to a game’s rules. While I’m not a strategist and enjoy playing my character as if in an RPG, I’ve played with people who quickly grasped the different strategies the game offers.
